About the role

You will join the Data team, which is building a modern, cloud‑native data platform for an organization in the energy sector. The project focuses on developing data services in a hybrid environment (private and public cloud) based on Kubernetes, with strong emphasis on automation, scalability, and reliability.

Your responsibilities

• Development and testing of containerized data services (e.g. MongoDB, Kafka, Spark) on Kubernetes using Helm and GitOps

• Building Kubernetes Operators and/or custom controllers to automate the full lifecycle of stateful workloads (provisioning, scaling, backup, restore)

• Designing and maintaining observability for data workloads (logging, metrics, alerting)

• Implementing an observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd)

• Automating deployment and operational processes using CI/CD pipelines

• Designing, configuring, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters (production and non‑production) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• Ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of the platform

• Configuring RBAC, security policies, secrets management, and network policies

• Deploying and maintaining a Service Mesh (mTLS, traffic management, policy enforcement)

Must have

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT

• At least 2 years of experience in data services / data engineering

• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data processing, and streaming solutions

• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (including Kubernetes Operators)

• Proven experience in designing scalable data architectures

• Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

• Very good command of English (minimum C1)

Nice to have

• Experience in Platform Engineering

• Advanced expertise in Kubernetes and the cloud‑native ecosystem

• Practical experience with GitHub Copilot and responsible use of AI tools

• Experience in hybrid cloud environments (private and public cloud)
