(Senior) Fund Accountant NAV Team
Depositary Fund Accounting Department is part of BSO global domain of BNP Paribas providing fiduciary services mainly to institutional clients. Our main goal is to produce fully independent NAV serving as a reference for verification of fund prices submitted to by Fund Administrators. Broad set of possible investments, that can be held in portfolio of our clients, creates perfect condition for getting familiar with all sorts of financial instruments and market practices. Along with improving accounting skills and balance sheet understanding, employees interact with nearly all market players, building their great understanding on how financial markets operate in practice.
In this Team we collaborate with Milan location to manager fund operations.
Requirements:
At least 2-3 years of experience in Fund Accounting NAV Calculation
Practical knowledge and thorough understanding of various types of financial instruments (equities, bonds, ETD/OTC derivatives, corporate actions)
Understanding of bookkeeping principles and fund accounting
Ability to provide analysis and resolution to complex issues like cash and stock breaks investigations and NAV variations
Knowledge of Multifonds accounting systems would be an asset
Knowledge of Bloomberg/Reuters will be an advantage
Strong analytical skills and attention to details. Organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines
Good communication skills with English on advanced level (C1)
Accountability and client focused mindset
Good PC literacy and command of MS Office
Responsibilities:
Transaction processing/control
Control of fund expenses and corporate actions
Cash reconciliation, securities and derivatives reconciliation
Dealing with OTC and collateral products
Valuation of funds’ assets and control of variations
NAV analysis and justification of exceptions
Control quality of NAV – cash and stock breaks review
Acting as an SME and point of contact for various stakeholders
Investigation and resolving of complex fund accounting cases
