The Junior IT Service Desk Specialist is responsible for providing first-level technical support for end users, focusing on Windows systems, basic networking, and common software tools. The role ensures smooth operation of user workstations, manages routine issues via a ticketing system, and supports adherence to cybersecurity and IT policies. Collaboration and clear communication with users and the IT team are key to maintaining efficient support services.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Install, configure, and maintain Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems on user workstations.
  2. Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
  3. Manage user accounts and groups in Active Directory under supervision.
  4. Troubleshoot basic networking issues (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) in collaboration with network teams.
  5. Ensure adherence to internal cybersecurity standards and IT policies.
  6. Assist users with Microsoft Office applications and basic system usage.
  7. Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests using a ticketing system.
  8. Communicate clearly and empathetically with end users to understand and resolve issues.
  9. Collaborate with team members to improve support processes and documentation.
  10. Demonstrate a proactive attitude toward learning and developing IT knowledge and skills.


Key Skills & Competencies

  1. Good knowledge of Windows operating systems (10, 11).
  2. Ability to install and configure Windows 11 operating system
  3. Basic knowledge of Active Directory (user and group management), Windows server and printing protocols
  4. Understanding and adherence to cybersecurity principles.
  5. Ability to diagnose and solve basic hardware and software issues.
  6. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and computer networks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  7. Ability to work with ticketing system.
  8. Good communication and teamwork skills.
  9. Basic English and good Polish language skill
  10. Motivation to work and develop knowledge in the field of IT.
  11. Empathy and willingness to help users.
  12.  0-1 years of experience in IT or related field
