Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank and payroll reconciliations,
·Prepare financial reports and statements and participate in budgeting and financial planning
Monitor and analyze construction project revenues and costs, accruals, and provisions calculation
·Preparation of monthly and yearly financial closings - group reports and statutory statements
Cooperate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and insights during audits. Address any compliance or reporting issues and implement recommendations to mitigate risks
Manage the tax activity with the support of tax advisors. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, preparation and timely submittal of tax returns, payments, and any other tax-related obligations
Manage tax compliance in foreign jurisdictions – this involves cooperation with accounting/tax companies abroad, providing necessary data, and ensuring adherence to local tax regulations
Preparation of NBP, GUS and INTRASTAT reports
Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure optimal performance
In partnership with the CFO, ensure the organization has best-in-class financial accounting processes and systems to achieve current and future organizational goals while mitigating financial and operational risk.
Our requirements:
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Strong knowledge of Polish and international accounting standards, practices, and tax regulations
A deep understanding of accounting principles and international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
10 Years of Accounting Experience
5 years’ experience being a Chief accountant
Fluency in English (mandatory)
Experience in a construction / renewable energy sector (appreciated)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively across teams and with external service providers

Solid and practical interpersonal and communication skills (including oral, written, and visual)
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally with staff, management, clients, suppliers, community partners, and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to be decisive in crises.
