Job Overview

What would you do as an Assistant Project Manager:

• Work closely with the Senior Product Managers to build the product vision and maintain a healthy pipeline of epics and the product roadmap within specific agile teams

• Assist in ensuring that the Technology book of work aligns with strategic objectives

• Program Backlog management which includes: following JIRA discipline; supporting the drafting and refinement of Epics, and responsibility for a timely pipeline of Epics for the relevant agile ceremonies; creating suggested prioritization of Epics; proactively identifying and managing of Agile Release Train (ART) level risks and issues, escalate ensuring that all stakeholders have an appropriate appreciation of the key risks and issues, and that the required steps to mitigate these risks are complete

• Help to gather and analyze data for metrics and supporting key initiatives for the ART

• Build relationships with the Technology Program Manager and Operations Lead on the ART

• Attend ceremonies for ART management representing product

What do you need to become our Assistant Product Manager:

• Knowledge of the Funds Service business

• Project and Program Delivery experience

• Agile experience

• Successful history of delivering change using a range of delivery approaches; on time, to budget and to auditable standards

• Demonstrated success dealing with senior and executive management

• Project professional qualification (PMI, PRINCE) and or Agile certification (CSM, PMI-ACP) preferable

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization also to establish credibility with senior managers

• Excellent communication, interaction and influencing skills

• Strong presentation and facilitating skills
