Hey,

We’re looking for a people-focused, proactive HR generalist to help us expand and support our growing team. If you care about creating a great employee experience, love finding A-players, and thrive in a design- and quality-driven environment — this role is for you.


About Commerce-UI

Over the last 7 years, we've been an eCommerce partner for top league brands (like Lady Gaga, Carhartt WIP, Pangaia, Magda Butrym or Rolex) We strive for the best possible quality by combining an eye for design and user experience with the most up-to-date technologies.


Our challenge

We’re at an exciting stage of growth. We continue to win top-tier clients, and new projects consistently come through referrals or our case studies. To support this growth, we need to expand our team, primarily with engineers and designers.

Until now, HR has been managed by the founders. We’re now looking for someone to support us by scouting great talent, reviewing applications, and managing core HR processes. You’ll be first person in our HR department.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent communication and people skills—you naturally connect with others and come across as a genuinely likable, approachable person.
  • Structured and detail-oriented—you keep things moving and organized.
  • You take ownership. You’re confident running HR processes, hitting deadlines, and collaborating across teams to move things forward.
  • Comfortable working across tools like Notion, Google Workspace, and LinkedIn.
  • English B2+
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR, recruitment, or people-ops role (working at agency/software house/ IT company is a MUST ❗)


Responsibilities:

🔍 Talent Acquisition & Recruitment (Main focus)

  • Own end-to-end recruitment process (job posting, screening, coordination, feedback loops)
  • Partner with design/dev leads on job descriptions and candidate profiles
  • Build a structured hiring pipeline and reduce founder involvement over time
  • Improve sourcing strategies (LinkedIn, referrals, etc.)

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 People Ops & Employee Experience

  • Onboard new hires (setup accounts, intro calls, welcome kits if applicable)
  • Maintain and update employee records, contracts, NDAs, salary agreements

📣 Culture & Employer Branding

  • Support internal communications, rituals (town halls, team events, feedback culture)
  • Plan occasional team retreats, offsites, or IRL meetups
  • Help shape company values and make sure they’re reflected in day-to-day

📑 Compliance & Admin

  • Ensure contracts are in line with Polish law (or other regions if hiring internationally)
  • Coordinate with accountant/payroll provider on salaries and benefits
  • Keep track of key compliance items (e.g., equipment, termination notices, etc.)


Team

Most of the time, you would work alongside our co-founders Simon & Michael and our PM team
