Responsibilities:
- Consultation/regular meetings with Open learning team and Community Coordinator throughout the process for clarifications and input
- Analysis of a range of Facebook posts, tutor and community member interactions
- Use of a learning community framework for analysis of group as a whole (e.g. CoI)
- Use of a cognitive framework for analysis and categorisation of posts and community interactions (e.g. Bloom’s taxonomy)
- Evaluation and categorisation of main trends in community member interactions
- Evaluation and categorisation of main trends in tutor interactions
- Consideration of adherence to EDI learning and teaching content checklist in analysis
- Emphasis on qualitative analysis and examples (including depth of response)
- Use of Facebook Insights as relevant
- Survey to gather feedback from group members
- Focus groups with group members to gather evidence and examples on motivation, confidence, application of knowledge, sharing of knowledge, perceptions and interaction with the group
- Recommendations for the community based on the analysis and evaluation
- Experience of analysing online communities of practice in the context of teacher education, preferably in an ELT context
- Ensure that any data analysis using Gen AI is anonymised and not stored for future use by the AI programme used
- Presentation of initial findings with Open learning team and Community Coordinator
- Report on analysis and evaluation of Courses for teachers’ community interactions which includes categorisation and recommendations as specified above
Requirements:
- Experience in consulting and participating in regular meetings with the Open Learning team and Community Coordinator

Experience in analyzing a range of Facebook posts, as well as tutor and community member interactions

Experience in applying a learning community framework (e.g., Community of Inquiry - CoI) to analyze group dynamics as a whole

Experience in analyzing and categorizing posts and community interactions using established frameworks (e.g., Bloom’s Taxonomy)

Familiarity with the EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) learning and teaching content checklist for analysis

Experience with Facebook Insights for data analysis

Knowledge of Generative AI (Gen AI) and its applications
