ERGO Technology & Services S.A. (ET&S S.A.) was established in January 2021 following the integration of ERGO Digital IT and Atena into one entity, leveraging both companies’ strengths and best practices. As a part of ERGO Technology & Services Management AG, the technology holding of ERGO Group AG, we support millions of internal and external customers with state-of-the-art IT solutions to everyday problems.

In October 2022, ET&S S.A. expanded its scope of operations by creating a Business Services unit to contribute in a new way to the growth of ERGO’s business. How you will get the job done

• checking the accuracy of settlement amounts, recipients, account settings
• recognizing, measuring, presenting including preparation of accounting postings for inwards and outwards reinsurance contracts
• cooperating with internal and external reinsurance partners
• ensuring accounting completeness and timely preparation and delivery of reinsurance data for quarterly and annual financial statements, forecast and planning processes
• preparing technical insurance documents for inwards and outwards reinsurance contracts, preparation of reports, statistical data and presentations for information and analysis purposes
• creating and further developing reinsurance data management to optimize interfaces, set-up corresponding databases and reports and ensure data quality and consistency
• managing and working on accounting internal and cross-divisional projects

Skills and experience you will need

• advanced level of English (B2/C1) and good level of German (B1)
• University degree in Economics with a focus on financial accounting, auditing, insurance or financial mathematics or financial informatics
• very good knowledge of accounting regulations for insurance companies according to national and international standards (HGB, IFRS, Solvency II)
• IT knowledge (e.g. SAP, FS-RI, SV, SAS, SAVIR) and programming skills (MS-Excel, MS-Access, VBA & SQL) as well as practical experience in designing and implementing IT solutions and in project management
• strong analytical skills and ability to analyze and communicate complex accounting issues both orally and in writing
• high level of commitment and strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with a high degree of independence and accountability
