About the role

We are looking for Actuaries to join our team. In your role you will work closely with the Central Reserving P&C teams of ERGO Group and ERGO Germany, contributing to the development and execution of our quarterly closing processes.


How you will get the job done

  • developing and maintaining actuarial reserving and analysis tools
  • analyzing data and results to ensure the quality of our financial statements
  • supporting the central team during the quarterly closing and forecast processes
  • monitoring and reporting on reserving KPIs to senior actuaries and other stakeholders
  • participating in constant knowledge transfer, understanding dependencies to derive appropriate analyses approaches
  • preparing relevant actuarial data and designing and developing automation scripts when needed


Skills and experience you will need

  • fluent written and verbal communication skills in English​
  • graduate degree in mathematics, economics or a comparable quantitative field ​
  • excellent technical and analytical skills, structured way of thinking, logical and concise approach and high attention to detail​
  • high ability and willingness to understand technical as well as functional dependencies​
  • open-minded, proactive and well organized, with problem-solving abilities, capable of prioritizing workload and team player ​
  • self-motivated and self-dependent, willingness to develop further
  • high intercultural competency and willingness to travel internationally
  • intrigued to work in an international environment​
  • advanced knowledge of the MS Office package​
  • experience in coding (R, VBA, SAS) and/or experience in working with databases (e.g. SQL, IBM Planning Analytics or MS Access)​


Nice to have

  • actuarial qualification and work experience in local or international GAAP (IFRS4, IFRS17, Solvency II)
