About the role

We are looking for Actuaries and professionals experienced in the non-life insurance industry to join our team.

How you will get the job done

• developing and deploying of internal risk models for ERGO Group for non-life insurance with the help of Igloo modelling software
• carrying out the parameterization and validation of the internal models for non-life entities in ERGO Group, providing the basis for the risk-based decisions of the management
• gaining a deep understanding of the models for natural catastrophe risks and integrating the knowledge into the business departments
• supporting the preparation of the regular and ad-hoc risk reports
• contributing to the actuarial claims reserving process

Skills and experience you will need

• fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
• university degree in natural sciences, economics or comparable education with a focus on mathematics
• professional experience (at least 3 years) in non-life insurance in one of the following fields: risk management, actuarial modeling, or reinsurance
• willingness to understand, further develop and use risk models
• competence to provide professional guidance, very good communication skills and a strong team spirit
• independent way of working and a high level of commitment and integrity
• willingness to travel abroad (once-twice per quarter, 2/3 days)
