Description of the function

You will be joining the Financial Division and be part of the Group Accounting Services (GAS) department. Within our accounts receivable team you will be responsible for different Euroclear group entities. 

We’re searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our accounts receivable team to help process, track, and record invoices and payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The accounts receivable specialist will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on Euroclear Group financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.


The Role:

  • Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts
  • Communicate discrepancies to management team, identify slow-paying customers, and recommend collection candidates
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process identifying areas of performance improvement
  • Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with local financial requirements
  • Successfully perform the monthly financial closing
  • Gather and verify client billing data, calculations and appropriate documentation
  • Prepare and process customer invoices
  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Prepare analytical and ratio analysis in relation to A/R for the supervisor to gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
  • Support other accounting and finance team members, inventory management, and cost accounting

 

Your profile:

  • You have good knowledge of MS Office (Excel)
  • You have a good understanding of accounting principles 
  • You have experience in working with an integrated ERP system, preferably Oracle is an asset
  • You have a fast learning, analytical and pro-active mindset
  • You know how to set priorities and you are stress-resistant 
  • You are able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • You have good English communication skills
