The opportunity
Manage and support an enterprise-facing site supporting awareness and adoption of our key technology platforms and services, such as M365, Security, Mobile and AI. Working collaboratively with senior technology and business leaders and our corporate communications teams, sustain the Enterprise Technology portal as a “source of truth” for end user technology best practices and business value.
Your key responsibilities
The Intranet Site Manager is responsible for all aspects of planning, strategy and execution. This role leverages experience in architecture (Modern SharePoint Online), end user experience, communications and online content standards and development, search; plus iterative, sustainable site strategy and operations. The Manager will refine team processes and build / maintain engagement through project challenges including quick pace, a complex stakeholder map, and continuing evolution of the overall SA operational model to reflect and support dramatically increased scope and scale.
The role requires an understanding of site development and operations, online content strategy and deployment, end user experience including content search and feedback, resource and capacity management, and project delivery including driving, enhancing, and reporting operations. Stakeholder management is also essential across SA, technology domains, UX, brand and executive leadership.
- Partner with IT product managers to create and maintain site content tailored to the needs of end users, including responsive, high-quality written text and designed assets
- Leverage strong relationships with IT project & content teams, brand owners, and subject experts in analytics
- Assign and manage work to resources within SA (including employees and contractors)
- Maintain close collaboration with a Content team peer who will leverage a shared resource pool with you to staff content campaigns and projects
- Create site pages, and update site navigation, brand, and taxonomy as needed.
- Align stakeholders across Service Adoption, the Product Team and EY technology leadership
- Update site operational model, support processes, and service levels
- Drive collaboration with other IT site and service owners across the EY technology estate, including the EY corporate intranet
- Identify and implement best practices, including creative merchandising and showcases, end user segmentation, site search and enterprise SEO, and measurement and feedback design
- Personal accountability for sustaining a central site for enterprise-wide, business-critical technology programs
- Develop site strategy, launch structure and content (MVP) for future replatforming (Adobe Experience Manager, to align with the EY intranet)
- Oversight of technical content partners and creators, including standards, timelines and approval processes
- Build and maintain effective working networks of resources in SA, EUTX and EY
- Work productively in a matrix organization spread across the globe
- Manage capacity, execution, engagement, and best practices, including team standards and toolkit
- Develop and support clear processes, efficient approvals, feedback loops and dashboard reporting for project stakeholders (e.g., IT product managers, SA and EUTX leadership)
- Apply insights from analytics for prioritization of projects and effective site functionality
- Grow team skills in communication, creativity, editing, design, productivity, etc.
- Work with Content team peers and SA leads to ensure the integration of related work plans
- Offer clarity of strategic vision and a firm voice to move your team through issues to decisions and solutions, including challenging and championing as required
This is a non-client facing role, with great flexibility to work from a home office with limited travel.
This role is guided by the BRM Service Adoption Content Lead.
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience across digital communications, site and project management, and matrix team operations
- Demonstrate leadership and agility across strategic SA focus, your site development projects, and digital content review and management
- Outstanding US English verbal and written skills, including supporting senior stakeholders and editing and approving business-wide content
- Strategy development, including consultative questioning, critical thinking, analytics and innovation
- Establish and maintain active knowledge of broad and complex corporate technology estate
- HR and budget management
- Manage staff working remote / from-home, across locations, cultures and time zones
To qualify for the role you must have
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in a senior communications or technology program management role with site ownership and development
- Previous project / program work in the areas of user behavior change, end-user adoption, technology productivity, and/or Microsoft M365 products and services
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- 5 years of experience in IT business change and end user technology adoption
- College degree in communications, marketing, business, or technology field (Communications, Business Management, etc.)
- Applied skills with Modern SPO workflows such as approvals, plus skills or experience with Power Automate or other coded solutions
- Experience with Microsoft cloud services
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Expertise with reporting and analytics and a strong bias toward data-driven decisions
- Experience with content production and planning calendars
- Familiarity with gamification, leaderboards and other engagement tactics
- Change Management and/or project management certification
