IT Asset Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Asset Analyst is responsible for maintaining the life cycle for IT assets operations such as licence management, renewals, data compliance, non-standard request processing, software procurement. Continuous development within the IT service tool is required and the role will be responsible for driving operational activities in coordination with functional lead and different stakeholders across IT division and business. 

The role will also be responsible for daily operational level within area. Aligning with the major IT software vendors and ensuring a proper governance is in place will go hand-in-hand with daily IT software procurements for requesters. Routine tasks can be expected. The role will provide feedback on possible improvements. 

Some level of routine tasks can be expected, but a key responsibility for this role is to seek possibilities for automation or task delegation within the software asset management discipline. The role will be part of strategical and tactical alignment on the continuous development of the area. 

Finally, the role will support Hardware Asset Management area to cover for operational tasks during vacation and other out-of-office situations, but also in creation a cross-functional team. 

A good all-round understanding of IT is required, and knowledge of the ITIL processes with basic data analysis skillset is a strong foundation for providing the services.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining the IT Software Asset life cycle in IT Service Management tool ServiceNow and Flexera 
• Maintaining IT Software Procurement processes in alignment with external vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe and SoftwareOne 
• Daily operational procurement of centralized IT software orders for requesters 
• Support Hardware Asset Management area

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE

EXPERIENCE:

•  Experience with software asset management (SAM), hardware asset management (HAM) and configuration management (CMDB) processes 
• Experience with daily operational IT procurement processes and working with external IT asset vendors 
• Experience working in large/enterprise sized companies 
• Experience of working in a multi-cultural work environment 
• Experience of working in an agile setup with Scrum methodology

SKILLS:

• MS Excel 
• Strong communication skillset 
• ITIL v3/v4 
• Flexera or similar ITAM tool 
• ServiceNow or similar ITSM tool 
• English, written and oral

EDUCATION:

•  Master in IT or related field
