About The Role:

This role is responsible for financial leadership of the Business Unit finance team, at strategic and operational level. Senior Finance Manager is accountable for performance and results of the local Finance team, decision making guided by functional and business objectives, responsibility for delivery and performance of operational and strategic objectives of the team, ensuring compliance with relevant corporate and functional policies, people management, objective setting, strategic planning and provision of specialist technical and advisory services.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of functional leadership, management direction and objective-setting for the team, aligned to achievement of the wider Finance and corporate goals
- Managing complex strategy, policy and process design and implementation of effective internal controls – financial performance measurement and risk management
- Selecting or approving appropriate solutions to address business issues or requests, balancing compliance and governance with business opportunity.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements for statutory reporting and compliance purposes
- Ensure strong operational performance against key performance objectives, accurately analyse and report on business performance, allocate resources and ensure that business, operational and financial risks are properly identified and managed
- Challenge, influence and guide business decision making to pursue business opportunities that can deliver value to the company and risks and rewards, with costs and income properly identified and managed.
- Evaluate complex problems and identify best practice solutions and risk management strategies, make appropriate and timely management decisions when dealing with business problems or opportunities
- Identify relevant information, risks and opportunities, costs and benefits, and communicate effectively to senior decision-makers or business owners to inform and advise
- Proven Forecasting and budgeting experience, with attention to detail, and knowledge of trends, and forecast analysis
- Experience in automation and optimisation of Financial processes and tasks, without impacting the correct level of Financial control
- Ability to understand cost control solutions, and track & manage the financial impact on main KPIs. Experience of tracking and reporting productivity, and monitoring impact on business objectives
- Demonstrating strong management skills to manage team performance, deliver organizational effectiveness and provide clear leadership
Our requirements:
- Proven track record of managing a team to achieve high performance levels - measured by customer satisfaction, strong internal controls and employee feedback
- Experienced in designing and implementation of functional solutions, policies and strategies to deliver best possible financial outcomes for the company
- Ability to implement and maintain sound financial controls
- Communications skills enabling the job holder to clearly and effectively communicate to senior management any financial or business risks, with recommendations for management actions and/or process change
- Proven Forecasting and budgeting experience, with attention to detail, and knowledge of trends, and forecast analysis

- Familiarity with Financial systems HFM, and SAP
