About the role:

As a Subject Matter Expert – Promotions Insights you’ll be responsible for providing business insights and support decision making related to Promotions. You will be specializing in the analytics and interpretation of data to provide insights to support promotional activities across the business.

The Business Insights Group’s purpose is to deliver value added insights to support business decisions by understanding the data, the marketing plan and the business better than anyone else in the company. You will be collaborating and leveraging subject matter expertise, translating complex data into meaningful results, delivering high value to our partners in the business.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide advanced analysis and insights on Customer and Distributor promotions.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance ad-hoc and scheduled reports using Excel, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or similar tools.
  • Optimize report quality, efficiency, and relevance; identify automation or improvement opportunities.
  • Share best practices and provide guidance within the team and across departments.
  • Build collaborative relationships and influence across all organizational levels.
  • Lead multiple complex projects and guide flex pool analysts on assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project and task requirements based on experience.
  • Support development of data requirements and analytics methodology based on observations.
  • Create complex data models for What-If scenario simulations to evaluate promotional impact.
  • Translate business needs into high-quality technical solutions to support decision-making.
  • Present findings clearly through visuals (charts, graphs, PowerPoint) and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
  • Highlight key insights, successes, areas for improvement, and recommended actions.
  • Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and alignment with expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Our Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in business/financial analysis, statistical modeling, data mining, and CRM database analysis.
  • 2+ years managing multiple projects and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong experience with BI tools (MicroStrategy, Power BI).
  • Proficient in MS SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Skilled in data validation and quality assurance.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting internal/external data.
  • Effective in cross-cultural communication and collaboration.
  • Able to communicate analysis verbally and in writing to varied audiences.
  • Capable of problem identification, data collection, process understanding, and drawing conclusions.
  • Proactive in asking the right questions to fill knowledge gaps and resolve issues.
  • Self-motivated, works well independently and collaboratively.
  • Goal-oriented, with strong multitasking, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
  • Guidance and mentoring to analysts on a project-by-project basis.
  • Technically skilled in SQL, Python, pivot tables, macros, VBA/SQL editing, v-lookup, queries, and report writing.
