Accounting Controller

An international organization operating within an SSC/GBS environment is looking for an experienced Accounting Controller. We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive and communicative professional who enjoys working in an international environment and has solid experience within R2R and financial controlling processes.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities in line with accounting standards and internal procedures

• Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reporting and accounting data

• Perform variance analysis and provide explanations and commentary on financial results

• Cooperate with finance and non-finance stakeholders across multiple countries

• Support statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit processes

• Coordinate activities related to VAT, CIT and local reporting requirements

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations as well as internal and external reports

• Support process improvement and standardization initiatives within the R2R area

• Create and maintain accounting procedures and process documentation

• Identify opportunities for automation and optimization of financial processes

• Participate in implementation of new financial solutions and enhancements

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience within GL / R2R / Accounting / Controlling

• Practical knowledge of accounting principles and month-end closing processes

• Experience with VAT, CIT, statutory reporting and audit support

• Previous experience in an international company or SSC/GBS environment

• Very good command of English

• Advanced Excel skills

• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP will be considered an advantage)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
