Role requirements

Experience

• Strong accounting experience with a minimum of 2 years in a similar position
• Experience in preparing JPK and VAT declarations independently is a must
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Enova 365, SAP, or equivalent

Knowledge / Skills

• A degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Polish tax law and VAT law.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• English and Polish language proficiency at a B2 level.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment and efficiently manage diverse information, data, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Independent task execution: You will independently prepare and process tax (VAT, CIT) declarations and settlements, as well as manage accounting and tax records in accordance with Polish law.
• VAT management: You will oversee the correctness of VAT-related company transactions, ensuring all activities are in line with the VAT Law.
• Assisting the accounting department in daily, monthly and annual activities: This role includes verifying entries in accounting accounts, reconciling accounting account balances, and actively participating in the closing of reporting periods.
• Internal and external communication: Your responsibilities extend to cross-functional collaboration with internal teams (e.g. Sales, Legal) and maintaining contact with the tax authorities.
• Process improvement: Actively participation in the implementation of the company's accounting program and related process improvements.
