Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Team Member with German

On behalf of our client – a leading consulting firm in the financial services sector, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Team Member with German.

Your responsibilities

• Support national and international clients in addressing complex accounting and capital markets issues under IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).

• Assist banks, insurance companies, and asset managers with accounting and regulatory questions, particularly related to financial instruments, insurance contracts, structured transactions, or regulatory-driven accounting challenges.

• Participate in projects such as IFRS conversions, implementation of new accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 9, 15, 16, 17), and accounting matters in M&A or private equity transactions.

• Support capital markets projects, including due diligence, prospectus preparation, comfort letter processes, and fairness opinions, collaborating with colleagues from audit, tax, legal, and finance teams.

• Contribute to the development of tech-enabled solutions for finance function digitalization, including low-code/no-code tools, data analytics, and process mining.

• Work closely with specialists in risk management, regulatory reporting, and IT to deliver integrated solutions for clients.

  
  

Employer requirements

• Completed or near-completed degree in business administration, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field, ideally with a focus on accounting, finance, or auditing.

• Strong interest in IFRS and HGB accounting, with practical experience from internships in auditing, accounting, or consulting.

• Excellent analytical skills, proactive attitude, and collaborative mindset.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment;

• Fluent in German and English.
