Your role and main tasks

As an Assortment and Category Manager, you combine data-driven analysis with strategic category management. In this role, you will analyze our marketplace assortment holistically, identify optimization potential, and derive concrete measures to further develop our categories. 

Data-driven assortment and category analysis

  • Analyze assortment performance at category level based on key KPIs (e.g. conversion rate, traffic, demand, visibility)

  • Identify optimization potential in the above KPIs, as well as in price structure, assortment depth, availability, and brand portfolio

  • Derive data-based recommendations for further assortment development and present insights to relevant stakeholders 

Performance analysis of promotions & retail media 

  • Analyze the impact of promotions and retail media activities on demand, conversion, and visibility

  • Identify performance trends and derive optimization measures together with relevant teams

Continuous assortment monitoring

  • Continuously monitor assortment performance and relevant operational metrics

  • Detect anomalies early and initiate appropriate actions

  • Coordinate and track relevant measures across involved teams 

Cross-functional collaboration 

  • Work closely with teams across Shop, Retail, Sales, and Key Account Management

  • Align and implement measures to further develop categories and the overall assortment 

You will need

  • Experience in a data-driven environment, e.g., Business Intelligence, Category Management, or eCommerce

  • Experience in using modern AI and analytics tools for data analysis

  • Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of KPIs

  • Experience analyzing large datasets, with experience in tools such as Databricks and Tableau being a strong advantage

  • Understanding of assortment strategies and category management logic

  • Structured, solution-oriented, and independent way of working

  • Ability to identify patterns and translate data insights into actionable measures

  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments

  • Interest in developing and defining structures and processes

  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
