Role Summary:
As a Scrum Master / Project Manager, you will ensure the squad’s adherence to agile principles, facilitate agile ceremonies, and eliminate any blockers to facilitate smooth delivery. You will work in a cross-functional squad, collaborating with other teams and departments to promote a culture of self-organization, continuous learning, and improvement. Additionally, you will manage waterfall processes when necessary to complement agile practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote agile practices within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prioritize and remove impediments, guiding the team in resolving challenges.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective change management.
- Maintain a focus on delivering customer value, optimizing flow, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Lead the development and communication of team metrics and progress reports.
- Assist with the planning, execution, and delivery of project work.
- Monitor and manage risks to keep deliverables on track.
- Develop project roadmaps and track progress against budgets.
- Facilitate meetings, ensuring effective communication with both the squad and stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master, focusing on coaching teams and guiding agile processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with experience managing risks and issues.
- Understanding of Treasury and Liquidity business concepts and reporting.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as PowerPoint, ADO/JIRA, WhiteBoard, Confluence, and Excel.
- Proven track record in delivering projects within large financial institutions or corporations.
Preferred:
- PMP or Scrum Master certification.
- Exposure to user-centered design or production support.
- Knowledge of business architecture principles and methodologies.
