Journal Development Specialist

Do you want to work at the intersection of science, business and global collaboration?

We’re looking for a driven professional who will help grow our client's scientific journals by engaging with researchers worldwide and supporting the dissemination of high-quality research through Open Access publishing.

Your role:

• Actively grow assigned journals by attracting high-quality authors and publications

• Promote journals within the academic community through sales activities, presentations, campaigns and networking

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with researchers, editors and institutions

• Manage your own portfolio of clients and partners

• Deliver on key targets (number of publications, revenue, journal visibility)

• Conduct regular prospecting and outreach to potential authors

• Analyze sales performance, report on KPIs and continuously optimize conversion and efficiency

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a university degree (Master’s preferred)

• Has experience in sales and/or customer-facing roles

• Is genuinely interested in science, academic publishing and Open Science

• Has excellent English skills (minimum C1)

• Enjoys working with data and tracking performance

• Can manage priorities and work effectively under time pressure

• Is proactive, results-driven and relationship-oriented

• Is motivated to grow within an international scientific publishing environment
