LNG Research Intern - Part Time
Role overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented LNG Analytics Intern to support our LNG intelligence and analytics work. The role focuses on monitoring LNG-related developments, validating AI-generated insights, and cross-checking vessel movements using the Orbify LNG platform.
You will receive structured onboarding and ongoing training, and you will work closely with experienced LNG and energy-market specialists.
Key responsibilities
The role consists of three main workstreams:
1. LNG news and infrastructure monitoring
Review daily news related to LNG vessels, terminals, and broader LNG infrastructure.
Identify relevant events such as vessel movements, terminal activity, outages, commissioning, or delays.
Input structured findings into Orbify’s internal database.
2. AI output verification
Review insights generated by Orbify’s AI automations.
Verify accuracy, relevance, and consistency with external sources.
Flag inconsistencies, missing context, or potential errors.
3. Vessel route validation
Use the Orbify LNG platform to review LNG vessel routes.
Cross-check observed vessel movements against news and reported events.
Confirm whether vessel behaviour aligns with infrastructure developments or market signals.
Required skills and qualifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to work systematically.
Good reading comprehension and analytical skills.
Interest in energy markets, LNG, shipping, or infrastructure.
Ability to work independently with clear instructions.
Comfortable working with data platforms and online research tools.
Good written English.
Nice to have
Background or studies in energy, economics, engineering, maritime studies, or data analysis.
Familiarity with LNG value chains, shipping, or terminal operations.
Experience validating data or working with structured datasets.
