About the team
Within the Marketplace team, our goal is to deliver the most competitive, reliable, and efficient service for riders and drivers. In pursuit of this, we use data analytics and operational levers, such as pricing, products, processes, and promotions, to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
You’ll need to deep dive into the details at one end and see the broader picture at the other end to drive sound business decisions backed by quantitative analyses, rapid experimentation, and qualitative insights in an ever-changing and evolving marketplace landscape. This role requires proficiency in data analytics, an eye for business, an understanding of customers’ needs, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
About the role
The Marketplace team within CEE Rides is looking for data analysts with a strong desire to drive business impact. You will be using your broad array of technical skills and business acumen to generate insights that power strategic decisions, e.g., understanding data points along the ride or driver decision-making journey, or isolating the influence of certain efforts on the marketplace. This is a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on further development of a platform, which provides access to affordable rides across Central & Eastern Europe. On a day-to-day basis, you will:
Leverage data to develop analytical insights & present findings to the leadership team to strengthen business decisions
Build, maintain and improve analytical tools that will be used to drive business decisions with CEE Rides
Evaluate and document the financial and business performance of CEE Rides and share learnings with key stakeholders
Identify analytical frameworks and methodologies and provide recommendations on how they can be applied to solve our business problems
Our Requirements
3-5-year student or graduate in Statistics, Applied Maths, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, Econometrics, Finance or a related quantitative field
Ability to create dashboards and clear data visualizations
Ability to translate data findings into insights and stories for key stakeholders across a wide variety of audiences
Strong teamwork skills
Good knowledge of SQL (understanding of ETL processes will be a plus)
Optional/nice to have:
Prior work experience in the data analytics field or strong university credentials (e.g., completed university projects with a proven track record of working with large data sets and models)
Experience with one or more scientific programming languages (e.g. R, Python) or statistical packages (SAS, SPSS, STATA, etc.)
Experience with ML / AI toolset, and visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI)
