Sales Technical Expert

Our client, a global leader in the automotive industry, is looking for an experienced person for the Sales Technical Expert & RFQ Coordinator position. You will join an international team and you will be responsible for driving technical innovation and ensuring seamless communication between internal departments and customers. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering tailored solutions and maintaining strong client relationships. Location: Katowice / Złotoryja / Nowogard (hybrid work, 3 days a week in the office)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of customer demands and trends.
• Ensure effective lobbying and introduction of innovations.
• Introduce new technologies to customers. 
• Identify customer trends and communicate them internally.
• Collaborate with R&T and DEC to select and present solutions to customers.
• Promote pre-development to validate these solutions.
• Detect new market opportunities and propose research directions based on customer expectations.
• Support product validation at the customer
• Assist in developing customer strategies and making quotation decisions.
• RFQ Coordinator - Business Acquisition Leadership
• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers during RFQs.
• Gather customer requirements to initiate the business acquisition process.
• Led the business acquisition phase and the RFQ Team to meet CBU KPIs and customer timelines.
• Supervise the analysis of customer specifications and facilitate agreement between internal departments and customer development teams.
• Challenge the cost of technical solutions proposed in offers.
• Provide optimal technical and economic solutions to the sales team for management approval.
• Prepare and finalize RFQ technical documentation.
• Organizes the transfer of the solution to the program management (ACO → PR)
• Lead VA/VE cost improvement workshops to identify MOVE
• Support product validation at the customer
• Support serial change process

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of the automotive industry, including trends and key players.
• Several years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of automotive products and manufacturing processes, with the ability to discuss technical details confidently.
• Holds a degree in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in negotiating contracts and pricing to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences verbally and in writing.
• Skilled in understanding customer needs and developing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
• Experience in building and maintaining strong professional relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Capable of analyzing market conditions and developing strategies that align with customer needs.
• Effective in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines to ensure timely project completion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant applications. SAP is a plus.
• Fluent in business English, with additional language skills being an advantage.
• Strong understanding of global compliance standards and their significance in the automotive sector.
