Junior Accountant – AP/AR (German)

For our client, we are looking for an AP/AR Accountant with German to join an international company in Warsaw. This role combines accounts payable and receivable responsibilities with daily contact with German-speaking clients and partners. The company offers a hybrid working model – 4 days in the office and 1 day remote – as well as flexible working hours (start between 8:00–10:00), a stable environment, development opportunities, and a supportive team.

Responsibilities

1 Processing accounting documents of foreign entities in the SAP system

2 Verifying accounting documents for allocation, completeness, and accuracy

3 Preparing payments for international vendors in the banking system

4 Posting bank statements and reconciling payments

5 Reviewing and processing payment reminders from foreign vendors

6 Reconciling balances with international suppliers

7 Communicating with banks, external vendors, and internal departments abroad

8 Preparing periodic reports and participating in summary meetings in German or English

9 Entering lease agreements into the accounting system

10 Preparing and issuing invoices to tenants in line with lease terms

11Monitoring payment deadlines and managing the collections process

12 Posting and reconciling incoming payments

13 Settling property operating costs

14 Supporting operational reporting for shopping center financials

15 Collaborating with leasing, legal, and property management teams

16 Working extensively with lease agreements (reading, interpreting, applying financial clauses)

Requirements:

• Foreign languages:

• Strong English and Polish communication skills, with proficient German language skills

• Accounting:

• Accounting knowledge and interest in developing within the field

• Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, or education in Finance/Accounting

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Experience working with SAP (SAP S/4HANA)

• Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and goal orientation

• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team-oriented environment

• Interest in retail and commercial real estate
