Independent Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and Independent Accountant to join our team, who will take full responsibility for the area of ​​accounting and taxes in Poland. This position does not include team management, but requires a high level of independence, commitment and readiness to carry out both daily operational tasks and strategic accounting duties.

As part of an international engineering organization, the person in this position will work closely with both local stakeholders in Poland and the global finance team, ensuring compliance with local regulations and the Group's accounting principles.

Responsibilities: 

• comprehensive management of the whole company accounting scope in accordance with the Polish Accounting Act (local GAAP) and group rules,
• full responsibility for tax settlements (VAT, CIT), declarations and contacts with tax authorities,
• preparation of financial statements and periodic reports in accordance with local and group requirements,
• implementation of daily accounting operations, including: payment processing, settlement of liabilities and receivables, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts,
• handling local financial audits and cooperation with external auditors,
• financial and accounting advice for the local organization, participation in optimization projects,
• cooperation with the central finance team and participation in global initiatives,
• preparation of declarations for the Central Statistical Office, National Bank of Poland and others in accordance with the company's needs

Qualifications:

• higher education in the finance field (finance, accounting, economics),
• at least 3 years of experience in an independent accounting position (experience in an international company is welcome),
• very good knowledge of tax regulations (VAT, CIT) and the Accounting Act,
• practical knowledge of the full accounting cycle,
• attention to detail, accuracy and analytical approach,
• knowledge of English enabling a fluent communication in an international environment,
• proactivity, ability to work in a team and a positive attitude,
• openness to new technologies and willingness to optimize accounting processes,
• experience in working with the D365 Finance & Operations software is welcome
