Senior Data Compliance Officer
The Banking Services (BBS) business unit at SIX is the competence center for operations, development, and innovation in Swiss payment transactions. The infrastructure for interbank payments, the connection to the Euro area (SEPA), as well as card-based and mobile payments are the main focus. In the Data Governance Office (part of Risk & Business Management), you will support the business as a Senior Data Compliance Officer in all regulatory matters and ensure compliance with high standards, focusing on data processing for the business unit.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements (including drafting and further developing internal directives, work instructions, etc.) with a focus on data compliance
Identification, analysis, management, and monitoring of relevant risks, development of measures, and ensuring implementation by responsible parties
Assessment of new and existing products, business areas, processes, and services regarding (data) compliance requirements
Proactive and continuous coordination with relevant internal and external committees and bodies for compliance, the 2nd Line of Defense, regulatory authorities, and the management of regulated legal entities
What You Bring:
University degree or equivalent higher education in law
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a financial services company
Interest in data compliance topics (including use of new technologies, data protection measures, conducting training, etc.) and experience in aligning legal requirements with economic and technological aspects
Knowledge of relevant regulations such as the Banking Act, EU GDPR and Swiss Data Protection Act (rev DSG), relevant FINMA circulars/guidelines (especially 18/03 (Outsourcing), 23/01 (Operational Resilience), and AI Guidance), as well as practical experience in this area
Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
