We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. What You’ll Do
• Lead Mechanical Design: Develop robust, efficient, and innovative mechanical designs for consumer electronic products, ensuring optimal performance, aesthetics, and manufacturability.
• Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes, run tests, and iterate designs to meet functional and regulatory requirements.
• Material and Process Selection: Apply expertise in materials, manufacturing techniques (e.g., injection molding, die-casting, sheet metal fabrication), and finishes to achieve the best product outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical, firmware, and industrial design, to align mechanical designs with overall product goals.
• Manufacturing Support: Partner with manufacturing teams and suppliers to transition designs from prototype to mass production, ensuring quality and cost targets are met.
• Problem Solving: Analyze and troubleshoot design issues during development and production phases, implementing effective solutions to maintain product integrity.
• Documentation: Generate detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support manufacturing and quality assurance.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
• Experience: 8+ years in mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on consumer electronics.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) and simulation tools (e.g., FEA software for thermal, structural, or fluid analysis).
• Manufacturing Knowledge: Hands-on experience with materials and processes such as plastics, metals, injection molding, die-casting, and machining.
• Experience with various assembly technologies: adhesive, ultrasonic welding, etc.
• Experience with prototyping: 3D printing, casting, and molding
• Testing and Validation: Knowledge of testing methods for durability, thermal performance, and reliability.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with DFM/DFA principles to optimize designs for manufacturing and assembly.
• Experience working with overseas suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• A portfolio showcasing your contributions to successful product launches.
