We’re looking for a Director of Demand Generation to spearhead the development and execution of STX Next’s comprehensive lead generation strategy. Your mission will be to drive demand across inbound, outbound, and referral channels, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality leads while nurturing opportunities through the sales funnel. Reporting directly to the Board and collaborating with Sales and Marketing Leadership as well as cross-functional teams, you will design and implement innovative, data-driven strategies to attract, engage, and retain customers.
As a key driver of STX Next’s demand generation efforts, your contributions will be instrumental in shaping how our brand resonates with audiences worldwide and directly impacts revenue growth. You’ll help craft and manage targeted campaigns, leverage cutting-edge sales and marketing tools, and apply analytics to refine strategies that seamlessly align marketing and sales efforts.
In this role, you’ll go beyond numbers by deeply understanding how and why leads engage with us. This includes occasionally jumping on calls with prospective and current customers to gain firsthand insights into their pain points, goals, and decision-making processes. These insights will inform smarter, more effective demand generation strategies, ensuring we meet our audience’s needs at every stage of their journey.
One to three months
- Learn STX Next’s value propositions and services in areas such as AI, data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and product design.
- Complete onboarding with deep dives into company processes, target personas, and buyer journeys.
- Develop a clear understanding of STX Next’s ideal customer profile (ICP) and key referral channels.
- Audit and evaluate current demand generation strategies and tools to identify improvement opportunities.
- Build strong working relationships with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams
- Establish demand generation KPIs and reporting mechanisms, setting the foundation for long-term success.
Three to twelve months
- Design and execute multi-channel campaigns to drive demand, leveraging inbound marketing, ABM (Account-Based Marketing), content marketing, SEO/SEM, and outbound outreach.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure seamless lead handoff, alignment on goals, and optimization of lead-to-customer conversion rates.
- Identify and nurture referral opportunities from STX Next’s extensive client base, leveraging long-term relationships to expand business.
- Develop and implement a data-driven approach to campaign planning and execution, focusing on continuous optimization through analytics and customer feedback.
- Explore and integrate new technologies, including AI-driven marketing tools, to enhance demand generation efforts.
- Build scalable processes and best practices for lead qualification, ensuring efficient pipeline growth.
Twelve to eighteen months
- Scale successful demand generation strategies to increase pipeline volume and quality across all target markets.
- Refine attribution models and reporting to clearly demonstrate ROI and contribution to revenue.
- Partner with leadership to forecast demand generation’s impact on revenue and present quarterly/annual growth strategies.
- Begin building a dedicated demand generation team, hiring and mentoring new talent as needed.

- Achievement of monthly and quarterly pipeline targets across inbound, outbound, and referral channels.
- Improved conversion rates from MQLs (Marketing Qualified Leads) to SQLs (Sales Qualified Leads).
- ROI on campaigns, demonstrating effective use of resources and measurable contribution to revenue.
- Increased client referrals and retention through strong relationship-building efforts.
- Enhanced alignment between marketing and sales, driving higher close rates and streamlined collaboration.
What You'll bring
- A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- A proven track record of success in demand generation, with experience across inbound, outbound, and referral strategies.
- Deep knowledge of data-driven marketing, including analytics, attribution models, and campaign optimization.
- Expertise in marketing and sales technologies such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of AI, cloud technologies, and their applications in marketing and business growth.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work across a dynamic and fast-growing organization.
- Fluency in English; German a definite plus.
