Its more than 23,000 registered users from 40+ countries have constant access to 8.9 GW+ of available components from 200+ manufacturing brands located in more than 1000 European warehouses. This diversity ensures that the installers have constant access to the best deals on a wide range of equipment, from various modules manufacturers, inverters, storage solutions, and all necessary accessories.

Sun.store achieved this position after only 18 months of rapid growth as one of the top B2B marketplaces.

After the initial period of intensive growth and the seed round with top VC fund, the team is looking for a CTO to join the board in driving the future of sun.store.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as a strategic partner to the Leadership Team -  co-creating and executing the technical strategy, aligning technological capabilities with business goals
• Provide accurate reports on all technical areas, including the core marketplace platform and supporting systems (e.g., CRM, ERP)
• Identify and drive opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity
• Represent the technology function in investor meetings and board-level discussions
• Oversee all technical domains of the company, including software development, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity
• Ensure that system architecture and design are scalable, maintainable, and capable of meeting evolving performance requirements
• Manage the technical budget, resource allocation, and vendor relationships 
• Build, scale, and lead a high-performing engineering team (currently 5 external developers and 2 internal team members)

Requirements:

• 5+ years in software engineering
• Hands-on experience with PHP (preferably Laravel 11), Vue.js (nuxt 3), and designing RESTful APIs
• Experience in leading a technical team, as a CTO, VP of Engineering or Senior Technical lead in startup or high-growth environment
• Expertise in growing e-commerce or marketplace products
• Excellent communication skills
• Proactive approach and a willingness to make a real contribution to a company
• Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Fluent English (at least on a B2 level)
