We are looking for people for the position:

Chief Specialist – Scientific and technical Specialist (F/M)

In the project:

FENG.02.01-IP.05-M038/25, TREAT-EXP: Development of therapeutic strategies for human genetic diseases caused by nucleotide repeat expansion.

The FENG.02.01-IP.05-M038/25 project is carried out under Measure 2.1 MAB FENG, call 2/2025 of the Foundation for Polish Science, co-financed by the European Union from the funds of Priority 2 of the European Funds for Modern Economy 2021-2027 Programme (FENG).

Place of work: TREAT-EXP Gene Therapy Development Center in the building of the Center for Advanced Technologies of Adam Mickiewicz University (Morasko)

Time position: 40 hours per week

Scope of duties:

  • expression of proteins needed for the project (restriction enzymes, proteases, LIF, enzymatic complex subunits)

  • cell culture;

  • providing general lab support for both groups (dr hab. Michał Gdula and dr Rajani Gudipatti) in their daily activities 

Essential requirements: 

  • MSc in molecular biology/genetics or a related scientific discipline obtained before start of the project. 

  • very good skills in standard molecular biology and biochemistry techniques 

  • experience in protein expression 

  • high level of communication and interpersonal skills 

  • significant experience in wet-lab research 

  • advanced knowledge of English, both spoken and written

Desirable requirements:

  • experience in genomic methods 

  • experience in C.elegans culture 

  • experience in bioinformatics 

  • microscopy and image analysis 

  • co-authorship of the publication

We offer:

  • stable employment based on an employment contract for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension until 31 December 2029; 

  • will be able to develop further skills and be trained in broad range of methods used by both groups: for example build experience in epigenetics, C.elegans model, gene therapy approaches through intensive interactions with researchers from all collaborating project groups  

  • will expand their scientific record through publications

  • may develop its own project

  • basic salary: 10 784 zł gross, other components in accordance with the Remuneration Regulations:

You may withdraw consent by contacting the UAM Employee Recruitment and Professional Development Department by email or telephone.

  17. Your personal data will be stored for the duration of the recruitment process. Your personal data will be processed, including stored, for a period of six months following the completion of the recruitment process. Your personal data may also be processed thereafter, for a period specified in applicable legal provisions (document retention periods, if applicable, as well as limitation periods for claims). For the purposes of conducting other recruitment processes, your personal data will be processed for a period no longer than 12 months, provided you provide your separate consent.

  18. Consent clause

  19. Pursuant to Article 6 paragraph 1 letter a and Article 9 paragraph 2 letter a of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016 (OJ EU L 119/1 of 4 May 2016), I consent to the processing of personal data other than those indicated in Article 22 1 of the Labour Code (first name, first names and surname; parents' names; date of birth; place of residence; correspondence address; education; previous employment history) contained in my job offer for the purpose of my participation in the recruitment process.
