Data Analyst
WealthArc is the fastest-growing platform for independent asset managers in Switzerland. Built on the latest technologies, it is the first WealthTech solution offered in a full SaaS model, with the goal of becoming the future data hub for wealth management and private banking.
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our WealthArc team. In this role, you will use robust cloud-based methods to transform raw data into reliable, high-quality data systems, ensuring the highest standards of data accuracy and consistency. You will work with well-known banks and wealth management companies, primarily in Switzerland, while supporting our international expansion.
A key part of this role will be financial instruments modelling within our Portfolio Management System (PMS). Therefore, we are looking for someone with solid knowledge of financial instruments (such as equities, bonds, derivatives, and funds) and an interest in how they are structured and represented in data systems. To succeed in this position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to automate data transformation and data quality assurance processes. Requirements:
At least 2 years of professional experience in data analytics
Experience with financial data modelling; knowledge of instruments modelling in a PMS environment is a strong advantage
Strong proficiency in SQL
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
Solid understanding of financial instruments (e.g. equities, bonds, derivatives, funds)
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Ability to automate data transformation and data quality assurance workflows
Strong team player with good communication skills
Fluent in English
Proficiency in Python is an additional advantage
Responsibilities
Ensure the highest quality data model standards for different financial asset classes, including instruments modelling in the PMS (Portfolio Management System) environment
Design, implement, and improve data transformations from external custodian data sources into an internal standardised format
Apply a consultative approach to designing and building best-in-class data solutions, minimising redundant data maintenance
Use and enhance scalable and robust proprietary cloud-based data engineering tools
Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement
Work closely with well-known banks and wealth management companies
Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to define best practices for investment data management
