Junior Econometrician

Role Description

We are recruiting for the position of Junior Econometrician to join our Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) team.

THE BASIC SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES, AMONG OTHERS:

• Data processing in the R environment
• Developing mathematical models in the R environment, with particular emphasis on:
• Time series models
• Panel models
• Preparing analyses and recommendations based on estimated models, including reports in the form of powerpoint/pdf presentations
• Additionally, providing support in creating functions and packages that automate the process of mathematical modelling

REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of statistics, econometrics, and topics in mathematical modelling, particularly in the area of time series and panel models.
• Preferred majors: econometrics, quantitative methods
• Ability to work with/willingness to learn the R language, especially in the context of data processing (with the emphasis on practical knowledge of the main tools / approaches available within the “tidyverse” package set).
• Knowledge of English at the C1 level (X Lab works with English speaking clients on a daily basis, most of the content created at X Lab are in English).
• Readiness to engage and work with an external client, including reports creation in Pdf / PowerPoint format.
• Availability of at least 0.8 full-time job equivalent.
• General openness to adventure with its highs and lows, but at every moment co-creating and building a very ambitious data science company with global-scale objectives.
