Accounting Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing the accounting team, including workload planning, task delegation, ongoing support, and employee performance evaluation

• Overseeing accurate and timely bookkeeping in compliance with applicable regulations (Polish Accounting Act, IFRS)

• Managing the payment process and monitoring execution

• Coordinating month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities

• Reviewing key accounting areas, including provisions, accruals, and account reconciliations

• Collaborating with external auditors and supporting audit processes

• Participating in tax processes (CIT, VAT) and monitoring regulatory changes

• Working closely with other departments (controlling, IT, operations) on reporting and financial data

• Identifying improvement opportunities and implementing automation in accounting processes

• Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Higher education in finance, accounting, or economics

• Several years of experience in accounting, including in a leadership role

• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations (Polish Accounting Act, IFRS)

• Understanding of tax matters (CIT, VAT)

• Experience working with external auditors

• Strong team‑management and organizational skills

• Very good command of English

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP) is an advantage
