Procurement Manager (Strategic Categories)
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic procurement and category management strategies aligned with company objectives and long-term business plans;
Lead complex sourcing initiatives across critical and strategic procurement categories;
Ensure continuity of supply, cost efficiency, quality standards, and effective risk mitigation;
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders;
Lead, structure, and develop a team of strategic buyers and category managers;
Define clear team objectives, responsibilities, and performance expectations;
Motivate, coach, and support team members to achieve high performance and engagement;
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes and supplier management;
Conduct high-level negotiations with international suppliers and business partners;
Analyze cost structures, market trends, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs to support strategic decision-making;
Resolve escalations, supplier issues, and operational challenges in a dynamic business environment;
Support senior management with data-driven recommendations and procurement insights.
Requirements
Minimum 10–15 years of professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management;
At least 5 years of proven leadership experience in managing procurement teams;
Strong experience working in complex, international, and matrix organizations;
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and market information;
Proven negotiation and supplier management experience in international environments;
Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
High level of accountability, ownership, and results orientation;
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory; additional languages will be considered an advantage;
Advanced knowledge of procurement processes, cost optimization, and risk management;
Strong resilience, adaptability, and ability to operate effectively in fast-changing environments.
