This role will work closely with senior leaders across the company to understand business needs, influence medium to long range planning, and ensure annual strategic sourcing strategies leverage Arrow’s purchasing power to drive competitive commercial deals. This role will be expected to manage over $245M of annualized indirect spend and direct, lead, and coach a Sourcing team responsible for owning and leading the development, execution, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of sourcing strategies. The various functions supported by this role includes Facilities Administration, Warehouse, Legal, Marketing, HR, Transportation, Professional Services.
Responsibilities
- Identify, refine, and align regional practices to corporate systems, standards, policies, and procedures
- Standardize processes, policies, and practices consistent with Global Sourcing & Procurement direction. Include standardized contracts, process, and systems; vendor selection process & criteria; vendor due diligence requirements, performance criteria, pre-approval of spend, and management reporting
- Responsible for understanding sourcing maturity across non-IT indirect spend and to identify gaps, and partner with the business to act on opportunities that drive operational efficiencies, risk reduction, and financial savings
- Responsible for developing and planning strategies designed to continuously improve vendor performance, optimize the vendor base, and optimize addressable spend within the categories
- Accountable to achieve annual cost-reduction goals
- Responsible for delivering standardized and comprehensive commercial terms that comply with Legal processes and procedures to minimize financial and contractual risks
- Accountable for ensuring proper vendor due diligence, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, ongoing performance management of vendors in accordance with indirect spend policies and procedures
- Build, influence and drive strong collaborative relationships with global internal stakeholder groups, cross functional team members and vendors
- Responsible for enabling delivery of annual savings, diversity spend and operational improvement targets
- Oversee complex, enterprise sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations
- Conduct stakeholder identification, assessment, and ongoing management
- Act as a change agent in support of procurement best practices, process efficiency and effectiveness
- Execute on communication plans to stakeholders, gain input, and facilitate successful implementation
- Provide ongoing stakeholder training to ensure that vendor engagements remain consistent and compliant with Legal, Compliance and Procurement policies and practices
- Drive accountability within the team to create and/ or update category strategies, maintain a robust pipeline of actionable projects, and forecast those project’s success and savings opportunities.
- Perform market research and maintain a working knowledge of current business trends including industry changes, cost drivers, global pricing, market conditions and economic indicators in order to identify new and/or alternate sources of supply, as needed
- Enable ongoing benchmark reviews and complex financial analysis, projections, and evaluations of vendor proposals for existing and new contracts
- Facilitate strong partnerships between Arrow and its strategic vendors
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure compliance to sourcing and contracting policies and procedures
- Classify specific vendor relationships and conduct ongoing performance management to ensure the performance, quality, cost, contractual commitments, etc.
- Participate in regular vendor business reviews that address vendor performance, technology roadmaps, business growth strategies and supply market changes
- Prepare and give business reviews to senior management regarding sourcing and contracting progress and actions to close
- Provide approval of new vendors and request for purchases
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor' s degree required with a degree in Finance, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, preferred
- 15+ professional experience in Indirect Sourcing, Category Management, Procurement
- Highly effective negotiator with an ability to influence executives both internally and externally
- Strong organizational awareness, and ability to plan and make decisions using sound judgment

- Experience assigning and coordinating work of cross-functional team members to accomplish project goals
