How you will get the job done

• coordinating and preparing annual and quarterly financial statements as well as forecasts and plan in accordance with HGB, IFRS and Solvency II for selected non-insurance entities of ERGO Group
• carrying out accounting variance analysis and quality assurance of the financial statements prepared in accordance with HGB, IFRS and Solvency II
• preparing internal and external reports to the Executive Management Board, Supervisory Board and BaFin
• acting as a contact person for auditors and tax auditors for all questions related to the annual and quarterly financial statements as well as financial plan and financial forecast
• improving existing processes in terms of security, quality and speed as well as their documentation and assessment as part of the internal control system
• working on accounting internal and cross-divisional projects

Skills and experience you will need

• English language skills at min. C1 level and German language skills at min. B2 level
• successfully completed University Degree in Economics with a focus on financial accounting, auditing or insurance
• very good knowledge of accounting regulations for insurance companies in accordance with HGB, IFRS, and Solvency II
• proficiency in SAP, in particular FI and SEM-BCS, very good knowledge of standard Office software and experience in the use of databases such as TM1
• strong analytical skills and ability to analyse and communicate complex accounting issues both orally and in writing
• high level of commitment and strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with a high degree of independence and accountability
