Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with operations management.
  • Experience in Data Center operations.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working within a complex organizational setting (e.g., Program Management Office, geographic dispersion, etc.).
  • Experience in data center operations.
  • Experience with YAWN or third-party data center turn ups and maintenance.
  • Ability to present materials to a range of partners on both technical and non-technical matters.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and guide projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and communicating them to project stakeholders. You are equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using the technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes, and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a single-threaded Point of Contact (POC) for all aspects of the larger Global Server Operations for NPIs, agnostic to data center type (e.g., YAWN, Jenga, Minicluster, Edge, Standalone).
  • Drive internal awareness, engaging Fleet Management functional partners as needed, and representing Fleet Management/Operations sign-off for all Technology Integration - Product Life Cycle (TI-PLC) phase gate approvals.
  • Work with customer technical leads, executives, and partners to manage and deliver infrastructure solutions.
  • Work with partner teams, operations managers, and data center technicians in order to execute existing processes, improve processes, and identify efficiencies that can be implemented.
  • Become a trusted expert in data center infrastructure solutions, and provide effective operational and technical advice around these technologies.
