Responsibilities:

• Design and conceptualize ECUs for lighting products and manage production and testing with Supplier,
• Provides design, development, and production support regarding the electrical requirements for new lighting products,
• Perform benchmarking and technology trend survey on automotive lighting,
• Conducts and oversees design validation tests for prototype and production hardware,

Required experience and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience,
• 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering,
• Experience in Lighting Electrical Engineering within automotive industry preferred,
• Knowledge of electrical hardware design, materials, system architecture, embedded systems and PCB design (for high power LED products preferred),
• Knowledge of lighting technology, source types, LEDs and electrical components is a plus,
• Knowledge of testing methods and government requirements for automotive designs is a plus,
• Knowledge of manufacturing capabilities for automotive lighting and electronics preferred,
• Good understanding for software and hardware system design with microcontrollers and analog and digital circuits,
• Knowledge of automotive communication interfaces (e.g. CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
