Hi, we are Vodeno. We are a Banking-as-a-Service provider underpinned by a cloud-native platform and backed by a fully EBA (European Banking Authority) regulated bank.

Supported by a leading global equity firm and the ecosystem of nearly 90 partners, our Platform opens new opportunities to businesses across Europe to integrate financial products and services into their solutions.

Based on financial sector know-how and expertise in cloud technology, we provide a set-up of customer-facing and daily banking services which include: digital onboarding, accounts, cards, payments, and lending with a white-label mobile app channel access.

👉 As we enter the phase of accelerated growth, we are looking for Principal Accountant to strengthen our Finance Team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Manage and take responsibility for assigned ledgers
• Ensure that all accounting entries are prepared accurately and in line with corporate and authority deadlines
• Work within the GL processes and make recommendations where necessary on areas of improvement
• Maintain accurate tax records and file for VAT, WHT, Income Taxes, and payroll taxes in accordance with local accounting principles
• Manage financial record keeping, utilising technological solutions while ensuring completeness as required by statutory authorities
• Manage Asset Register, including the booking of monthly depreciation
• Take full ownership of the Balance Sheet and ensure balance sheet areas are appropriately reconciled, analysed, and controlled
• Be fully responsible for the month-end closing process
• Drive the alignment of the Company’s accounting to IFRS

SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field
• At least 5 years of professional background in a similar position
• Knowledge of tax regulations including WHT and VAT
• Knowledge of IFRS standards
• At least fundamental knowledge of the principles of consolidating financial reports
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Practical excel skills
• Strong analytical and multitasking skills
• Experience with the Exact system is nice to have
