What you can look forward to Technical Expert Casting (m/f/d)?

• Carrying out technical discussions as part of new customer projects (discussions prior to award, technological support) to support award decisions;

• Continuous monitoring of Q performance, start of activities in the event of deviations from the target specifications;

• Coordination and implementation of national and international strategic supplier development projects (preventive) and operational task force support;

• Participation in the framework of part family strategies, support in solving technology and quality problems;

• Coordination with purchasing and the decentralized factory quality departments;

• Cooperation with supplier management within the House of Competence Casting at the global locations;

• Control of the holistic frontloading process (incl. forward sourcing & simultaneous engineering) from product development through casting-ready component design to the development of tool concepts. Component design suitable for casting, taking into account the subsequent processes in mechanical processing, component cleaning, assembly and leak testing, automation, packaging and Q standards and their associated requirements according to ZF specifications;

• Carrying out development meetings, technical reviews prior to series production, technological support and process development up to series production of die-cast parts;

• Control of professional mold management including the complete mold management of all tools owned by ZF (e.g. tool life monitoring);

• Participation in global launch management projects at suppliers to shorten the ramp-up curve and reduce start-up costs.

Your profile as Technical Expert Casting (m/f/d)?

• Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, production technology, manufacturing technology, foundry technology or similar, with several years of experience;

• Several years of professional experience preferably in the areas of management, production, work preparation, technology planning, technology development, industrialization, supplier development with regard to the above-mentioned focal points;

• Experience in project management with the appropriate tools;

• Experience in managing interdisciplinary projects / project teams;

• Experience in leading/collaborating on projects/project teams desirable;

• Specific knowledge in the areas of smelting, foundry, mold making and the downstream processes along the value chain;

• Excellent communication skills in an international environment, diplomacy, negotiation skills as well as empathy and assertiveness;

• Analytical thinking skills and acting independently;

• Knowledge of methods for structured problem solving;

• Very good knowledge of the technical english language (spoken and written);

• High resilience, commitment and willingness to travel on domestic business and abroad.
