AR & Collections Team Leader with Spanish
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a team of collections specialists, ensuring efficient operations and high performance.
- Monitor team workload, set priorities, and allocate tasks to meet department goals.
- Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills.
- Oversee the collections process, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue payments and resolving disputes.
- Analyze accounts receivable data and provide regular reports on collection performance and outstanding debts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Sales, and Customer Service) to resolve payment issues and improve cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., SOX) and company policies in all collection activities.
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Handle escalations and complex cases, making recommendations for further actions when necessary.
- Participate in financial audits and support internal and external reporting requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in managing collections teams, with a strong understanding of accounts receivable and collections processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team to achieve high performance.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory standards (e.g., SOX) and compliance requirements in finance and collections.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret accounts receivable data and prepare reports.
- Ability to handle escalations and complex issues, with a focus on problem-solving and finding effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal departments such as Finance, Sales, and Customer Service.
- A proactive approach to process improvement and automation initiatives, with experience driving efficiency in operations.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
