Business Intelligence Developer

We have made a few acquisitions, set up new businesses, and grown the team significantly (team size 15x growth in last 3 years).

Currently, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer (SQL, PowerBI) to support our team in transforming data into actionable insights to influence the company's dynamic growth strategy. As a member of our team you will participate in the end-to-end Business Intelligence solution development, starting with the business requirements gathering, through data modeling and ETL design, to data visualization and support in business adoption.

We seek curious "doers" who are passionate about data analyses and feel the best in the role combining technical responsibilities with business understanding.

You'll make a great fit for that role if you are experienced in data warehousing and visualization (using Microsoft PowerBI), have good analytical and technical skills (SQL proficiency is essential), and have a business mindset and the ability to think critically.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices
• Proven track record of using SQL to manipulate and extract data
• Expertise with business intelligence/data visualization tools (Microsoft PowerBI is a must!)
• Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing priorities within a very dynamic startup environment
• Effective and flexible communication skills, including the ability to translate technical details into business and commercial objectives, and vice versa
• A direct communication style - you’re not afraid to challenge others and speak your mind
• Self-driven and detail-oriented mindset while working with data

Tasks

• Participate in the full lifecycle of BI development, from requirements gathering to end-user support
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and data engineers to effectively translate business requirements into technical requisites
• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Business Intelligence solutions using AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, Microsoft PowerBI, Git
• Develop data models and build interactive dashboards using Microsoft PowerBI
• Perform both ad-hoc data analysis and automated reports
• Experience with version control is nice to have :)
