Manufacturing Finance Analyst
As a Finance Analyst (Manufacturing), you will be a key member of the Manufacturing Finance function, providing value-added financial analysis and strategic decision support to manufacturing leaders. This role requires a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures, particularly standard cost creation and variance analysis. You will act as a business partner to drive financial performance, process efficiency, and cost transparency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial and operational analysis focused on manufacturing performance, cost structures, and variances.
- Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions in a manufacturing environment.
- Ensure accurate standard cost setting and regular updates based on production and procurement inputs.
- Analyze production cost variances and drive understanding of their root causes with operations and supply chain teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support continuous improvement initiatives, operational efficiency, and cost control.
- Track financial performance against targets, prepare forecasts, and highlight risks and opportunities.
- Develop, improve, and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate key manufacturing and financial KPIs.
- Support the Operations Leadership Team with structured and timely financial updates and recommendations.
- Lead and coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for manufacturing-related functions.
- Collaborate with accountants, cost controllers, and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Drive improvements in financial systems, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
Qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and standard cost creation, including setting, analyzing, and managing standard costs.
- Experience with cost variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling specific to production and operations.
- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and consolidating data from multiple sources.
- Proficiency in preparing and presenting manufacturing-focused financial reports and insights.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and finance teams.
- Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a plus.
