Mid GL Accountant with Italian

We are looking for a Mid GL Accountant with Italian to join a newly established Shared Services Center (SSC) within a dynamic international organization. 

We are bringing an exciting new proposition to the Warsaw market and we would love to hear from Finance professionals with Shared Service Centre experience. Help us lay the foundations of our new Business Services Centre based in Mokotów. We need a diverse group of action-oriented colleagues who have the desire to go beyond the transactional elements of their role and be part of building something truly special!

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years experience in a Shared Services environment
• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Controlling or Accounting
• Knowledge of Finance in general and General Ledger in particular
• Hands-on experience of Shared Services transition a plus
• SAP Finance experience (nice to have)
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Availability to travel during the Transition phase - and then occasionally

Responsibilities

• Month-end and Year-end Closing – Managing and overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.

• General Ledger Reconciliation – Performing and reviewing general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data, and investigating discrepancies.

• Financial Reporting & Analysis – Preparing and analyzing financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.

• Process Improvements & Compliance – Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and company policies.

• Support for Audits & Tax Compliance – Collaborating with internal and external auditors, preparing documentation for audits, and supporting tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
