About the role
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Growth team. The successful candidate will focus on generating and qualifying new business opportunities through outbound activity, nurturing prospects, and supporting our sales team in building a strong pipeline.
Role responsibilities
● Conduct proactive outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other digital channels
● Identify, research, and engage potential clients within target industries
● Develop a deep understanding of FinanSys’ products—UniFi, SunSystems, and NetSuite—to effectively communicate value to prospects
● Qualify inbound and outbound leads to build and hand over well-defined opportunities to Account Executives
● Maintain accurate records and activity metrics within the CRM
● Contribute ideas to refine messaging, outreach strategies, and sales processes
● Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and targeted outreach
Essential skills
● Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a BDR, SDR, Lead gen, or telemarketing role within a SaaS or enterprise software environment
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, consultative approach
● Proven ability to generate and manage outbound pipelines
● Goal-oriented, resilient, and comfortable working in a sales-driven environment
● Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools
● Proficiency in English (min. C1 level)
Nice to have skills
● Understanding of the financial software/ERP landscape
● Comfort with sales automation, data enrichment, and prospecting tools (such as Salesloft, Outreach, Apollo, or ZoomInfo)
● Data analysis skills to quickly interpret lead and campaign performance, adjust outreach, and prioritise high-value accounts
● Proficiency with digital research, such as using LinkedIn or other platforms to build refined target lists
