Opis stanowiska

GOG's mission is to make games live forever. We safeguard and offer DRM-free classic PC games to millions of passionate gamers worldwide, empowering them to protect, share, and relive their gaming legacies for years to come.

We are looking for a Social Media & Community Specialist to help us relentlessly expand our social media presence, boldly grow our reach, and ensure our most dedicated users feel valued and engaged, directly owning their retention.

You will report to the Marketing Director.

Your Mission

As a Social Media & Community Specialist, you'll be responsible for executing GOG's social media content strategy and managing our core community channels. You will contribute to strategies that align with our brand's mission of game preservation and our goal of turning GOG users into game preservation heroes.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • KPI: Reach

    • Social Media Content Planning & Execution: Craft posts and other content that build a narrative around GOG's mission across various social channels. Support brand campaigns, releases, and events by collaborating with the Marketing and PR teams.

    • Social Media Engagement & Growth Ownership: Be GOG's voice on social media, interacting with our community across X, Reddit, Facebook, and our forums, ensuring a consistent, engaging brand voice. You will own and be measured on the growth of our social media reach.

  • KPI: Core Community Churn

    • Core Community Management & Churn Ownership: Directly engage with and nurture GOG's most dedicated users and top spenders. Implement initiatives to ensure their engagement, happiness, and high retention. You will directly measure, own, and take decisive action to reduce churn within this critical core community.

  • Reporting: Track key metrics for social media growth and core community engagement and churn, contributing to regular reports and implementing improvements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Hands-On Creativity: Ability to creatively adapt social media codes, trends, and platform-specific content formats while maintaining GOG's unique brand voice.

  • PC Games Expertise: Passion for gaming history, nostalgia for classic titles, and appreciation for their cultural significance. Ability to convey why these classics - and GOG's mission - matter.

  • Excellent Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in English. Ability to craft clear, impactful messages and interact effectively and boldly with community members.

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to work with marketing data, understand the marketing funnel, and translate insights into actionable community strategies.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in social media management, community building, or digital marketing, preferably within the gaming or tech industry.

  • Track Record: Proven experience in managing multi-channel social media profiles with a focus on organic growth and community retention.

  • Crisis Management: Proven experience in handling sensitive community issues and maintaining a positive brand image under pressure.
