Business Controlling Analyst

Business Controlling Analyst is responsible for providing financial business partnering to drive performance, improve decision-making, and deliver actionable insights through robust financial analysis, planning, and control. The role supports strategic and operational goals by ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across business functions.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Acting as a Business Partner for D&T (Digital & Technology) Functional Directors, their teams, and other business leaders, providing support across the full spectrum of Business Control for D&T, tailored to evolving needs.
• Developing business cases (e.g., contract renegotiations), conducting financial analyses and scenario planning, leveraging external benchmarks, and delivering ad-hoc insights to support strategic decision-making within D&T.
• Maximizing D&T performance by collaborating with, challenging, and influencing D&T teams, while advising stakeholders on corrective strategies and actions that enhance value and operational effectiveness.
• Ensuring the quality, completeness, and timely delivery of financial planning processes, while coordinating effectively with all relevant stakeholders.
• Independently identifying alternatives and opportunities to support cost and investment targets set during Annual Planning (AP) or Rolling Forecasts (RoFos).
• Driving continuous improvement by introducing or enhancing solutions that increase process efficiency, improve data quality, and elevate the level of actionable insights.
• Leading the month-end close process and actuals analysis within your scope, maintaining full alignment with relevant D&T stakeholders.
• Leading the preparation of budgets, including Annual Plans and quarterly RoFos, covering FTEs, RUN, and CHANGE costs.
• Performing any other tasks assigned by the Business Controller within the scope of functional responsibilities.

You are a good candidate if you have: 

• 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in business control, financial management, or managerial reporting, ideally gained in a large multinational organization (preferably within the FMCG sector) or a consultancy firm.
• Background in internal and/or external audit, along with a general understanding of the company’s business operations.
• Proficiency in IT systems (APPTIO system knowledge) and Microsoft Office tools.
• A university-level degree.
• Awareness of current industry trends and best practices.   
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate conflicting interests, influence decision-making, and build trust across all levels of the organization.
• Proven experience in project and change management, including preparing business cases, driving process improvements, and taking ownership in dynamic, cross-functional environments.
