Jacobs’ Licensing Team is responsible for supporting the professional licensing needs of the Company. As Corporate Licensing Specialist, you will work across functions and lines of business, supporting the construction and professional licensing needs of the company. You will regularly interface with Jacobs’ business groups and operations, and licensing authorities. This critical position will reside in the Jacobs Legal, Risk and Compliance Department and will report to the Corporate Licensing Manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  • Managing a large portfolio of firm licenses, including architectural, engineering, land surveying, geology, construction, and related licenses

  • Effectively procuring, renewing, and managing corporate licenses

  • Providing support to license qualifiers in the areas of exams, procurement of licenses, and tracking

  • Maintaining current knowledge of licensing laws and statutes

  • Working from time to time as requested and needed on Jacobs Legal, Risk and Compliance Department non-licensing initiatives and special projects


Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a legal, compliance, or regulatory administration department

  • 5+ years’ experience working with corporate construction and/or professional licenses (preferred)

  • Knowledge of construction and professional licensing guidelines and requirements

  • Ability to report and track information accurately and concisely in web-based databases

  • Computer literacy with an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work in a paperless, digitized working environment

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet short deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and confidently, with a strong attention to detail

  • Ability to provide input to improve licensing processes to drive continuous improvement

  • Willingness to work collaboratively with others and on various projects
