Role Overview
We are seeking a highly adaptable and self driven compensation expert with advanced knowledge of global compensation practices to be a part of our GBS Compensation organization. This role combines hands on operational responsibilities with subject matter leadership, requiring an individual who can independently manage complex compensation processes, ensure operational excellence, and provide expert guidance to HR and business partners.
This position offers significant visibility to senior leadership and plays a key role in representing the HR GBS organization across global regions. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing day to day operational execution with continuous improvement of global compensation processes and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with the Compensation Center of Excellence team to support and execute global and regional compensation initiatives.
Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, business leaders, and cross functional partners to understand organizational needs, address challenges, and enable informed decision making.
Lead and support the annual compensation review process, as well as mid year and off cycle salary reviews.
Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and administration of specialized compensation programs.
Manage participation in global salary surveys.
Conduct job evaluations and analyze salary data to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
Lead annual updates to salary structures and research global market trends.
Perform advanced compensation analytics, market pricing, benchmarking, and reporting.
Prepare compensation-related analyses and work collaboratively with HR Reporting and Payroll teams to ensure accurate data and effective program execution.
Perform regular compensation audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant labor laws and regulatory requirements (e.g., minimum wage, UK Real Living Wage).
Partner with Payroll and other stakeholders to gather and consolidate compensation data for compliance reporting (e.g., UK Gender Pay Gap) and for broader analytical projects (e.g., bonus trend analysis).
Ensure market data is mapped correctly to Jacobs positions and compensation management tools are utilized – uploading survey results and used for benchmarking activities.
Here's what you'll need
5+ years of advanced experience in the Compensation field.
Advanced Excel skills and good proficiency in PowerPoint; experience with Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
Proficient use of Compensation Management tools such as Payscale and software tools that specialize in managing pay equity, pay transparency, and regulatory compliance.
Fluency in English is required.
Comfort working with global regions and multicultural teams.
Proficiency in manipulating, summarizing, and analyzing large volumes of data from multiple sources and draw meaningful insights from complex datasets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Able to work independently, demonstrating strong self-leadership and initiative.
